The Way In From Channahon: US 6, Then I-55

The drive ends at my private studio in Shorewood, where brows are the only thing I do now and every shape is mapped by hand before your eyebrows are microbladed.

Questions Before You Book

Real concerns, honest answers

"What if it looks fake?"

If anyone can tell you got them done, I haven't done my job. Every stroke is designed to look like it grew there.

"What if it hurts?"

My first pass of hair strokes is light, just enough to open the skin. Then a liquid numbing solution goes on, and after a minute or two you're usually pretty much numb; I reapply it wherever you start to feel more. I only go 0.08 to 0.15mm into the skin, far shallower than a tattoo, which keeps the feeling closer to a scratch than a stab.

"What if I don't like it?"

I design your brows with you BEFORE any pigment touches your skin. You approve the shape, color, and thickness. No surprises.

"Is the drive from Channahon worth it?"

I book one appointment at a time, so the studio is yours while you are here; the lot at the door is free, and your microblading holds for roughly 12 to 18 months.

Sarah is amazing! She communicated with me for a while prior to my initial appointment, going over all the details. Listening to all my concerns, she reassured me the results will be great. Procedure went with very little pain, healing took about a week, and I am SO PLEASED with my brows! They are symmetrical, which was one of my biggest worries from prior work I had done in another salon. I have my touch up soon, which I'm sure will make my brows even better! Sarah is a keeper, easy to talk to, friendly and a true professional! Highly recommend!!! Thank you so much, Sarah for making me feel heard and giving me beautiful brows!

Absolutely the BEST!!! Sarah is a true artist!! She took the time to go over every step with me, explaining everything along the way & my brows are perfect. I have never had microblading done before, I was a bit apprehensive about doing "permanent" brows but I am 💯 % happy that I did!! No more brushing them on or running around with barely any eyebrows. Im amazed at the transformation of my look now too. For the first time ever I have nice eyebrows! Sounds weird but it makes a difference. I wish they didn't last so long, only because the experience and meeting Sarah was pretty awesome & Id go back more often. She's the shit!!

Good to Know

How do I get to Nirvana PMU from Channahon?

My studio is at 805 W Jefferson St Ste I, Shorewood, IL 60404. From Channahon, the route is US 6, which is West Eames Street in town, to I-55, off at Route 59, then Route 59 to Jefferson Street. Parking in the lot outside my door is free.

Can I book my first session from Channahon without a consultation?

Yes. You can book the first session directly online. The appointment starts with me mapping your brows, and nothing goes on your skin until you have approved the shape. If you would rather talk it through first, book the free consultation instead; it commits you to nothing.

Will my brows look dark on the drive home to Channahon?

Yes, for the first few days, and I want you expecting it. Fresh pigment sits on the surface and reads 40 to 50 percent darker than it will heal, then in the second week it fades so far it looks gone. By day 14 to 28 it settles into the true color I mixed for. If day two makes you nervous, text me; that is exactly what I am there for.

What My Clients Say

"First let me say I always get complements of how natural and nice my brows are. I was nervous to get my eyebrows micro bladed but so tired of filling them in (90's over plucked eyebrows IYKYK) Sara explained the process and helped me understand what she does and why. I felt at ease with her doing my micro blading. I have also done a couple touch ups since then and still love that they look natural. I refer everyone i know to Sara for micro blading. She's amazing."

"I was extremely pleased with Sarah’s microblading services! She made sure I was comfortable the whole time I was there. She was very thorough from beginning to end. When it came to picking out the perfect color, she really listened to what I was looking for and patiently swatched different colors for me so I could see which would look best with my skin tone and hair color. The pain was minimal and she asked many times if I was okay and if I needed a break. She has so much experience and is also an instructor, which is why I trusted her with the process. I 10/10 recommend!!!"

"I am absolutely in love with my new brows! I had the powder brow and microblading combo done, and the results are even better than I imagined. Sarah took so much time to map out the perfect shape for my face and explained every step so I felt completely comfortable. The process itself was way less painful than I expected! So glad I went to Sarah she instantly made me feel comfortable, like we were old friends!"

"Let’s start by saying how talented Sarah really is. After a decade of contemplation (yes, since microblading became popular circa 2015), I’ve wanted to get my brows filled and look fuller. I never pulled the trigger because I just decided over and over that I would fill them in on my own when tinting wore off (which wore off rather quickly) between waxes. Something in me decided I was going to actually do it this round (round 1000 of thinking I’d do it.) I picked up my phone and started researching around me for the best artist. Nirvana was on the long list of places to go. I then started in on pictures and reviews of what people said was so great about this place. I’ll be honest, I didn’t think it would happen so fast. Sarah made me feel comfortable very quickly. She addressed my concerns and walked me through it all with step by step instruction and explanation. She mapped out exactly what we were going to do and showed me some pictures of what was best for color based off of so many different variables. I work in healthcare and people really only see my eyes in most instances, so this was a very important decision. We created and plan and Sarah executed end to end and did a really great job! I love them and love the difference she’s made! Take a look for yourself. 😃 one before, one during and a couple after!"

Most of the first session is the shape

Every first microblading session starts the same way. I map your brows by hand to six reference points on your own bone structure, then show you the mapping before a single stroke goes in, and nothing happens until you have approved it. The whole appointment is a 90-minute block because that mapping is a decided process, so it never turns into an afternoon of redrawing.

Then I work light, on purpose. I can always add. I just can’t take away. A stroke that heals a little soft gets built up at the touch-up, which is a far easier fix than a brow drawn too heavy on the first day, because that one has nowhere to go.

You can see how that plays out on real faces in my results gallery, every photo taken the day of the appointment, and the microblading service page goes deeper into the technique.

Plan on two visits in the first two months

The touch-up comes 6 to 8 weeks after your first session, and it is a separate $150 appointment. I explain it like painting a wall: the first session lays the foundation coat, and the touch-up is the second coat, filling in wherever the first one healed uneven so the whole brow reads as one even layer. My touch-up guide walks through that second visit in detail.

In between, healing runs its own course. The first few days look darker than they will stay, and somewhere in the second week the color fades so far it looks gone before it comes back. The healing timeline follows it day by day, and my pre and post-care instructions are worth reading before you book.

Two ways to book

If you already know you want your brows microbladed, book your first session directly. If you would rather talk first, a free consultation commits you to nothing. For the bigger picture of how I work with clients across the towns around Shorewood, my microblading guide for the Chicago suburbs covers choosing a specialist, the process, and what the investment buys you. If you’re closer to Minooka, Shorewood or Joliet, each has its own page.
