Questions Joliet Clients Ask

Real concerns, honest answers

"What if it looks fake?"

If anyone can tell you got them done, I haven't done my job. Every stroke is designed to look like it grew there.

"What if it hurts?"

Most clients say it feels like light scratching—way less than a tattoo. I use premium numbing, and you're in control the whole time.

"What if I don't like it?"

I design your brows with you BEFORE any pigment touches your skin. You approve the shape, color, and thickness. No surprises.

"Is the 18 minutes drive worth it?"

Most Joliet clients say it's the best 18 minutes they spend all month. Private studio, free parking, and results that last 12-18 months.

I was referred from a client to see Sarah, to have brows fixed from teenage years of over plucking. I thought there was no hope for me. I am beyond grateful for Sarah, her kindness and patience and expertise go above and beyond anything I thought anyone could do for my self-esteem. If you are having doubts or feeling skeptical or nervous, Sarah is your girl! She’s there for you every step of the way, never lets you feel like you do not know the process. I am so grateful for the outcome and the feeling of normalcy again with my brows! Thank you Sarah!

I have known Sarah for about 20 years. She has always been driven and passionate in her endeavors. Knowing her personally made it easy for me to book my appointment. She was very thorough and professional as she explained the process. She made sure the shape perfectly suited my face. Sarah's eye for detail allowed us to achieve a natural, beautiful look and the confidence I was looking for. I highly recommend booking with Sarah. She is top notch and her portfolio speaks for itself.

Questions from Joliet Clients

How do I get to Nirvana PMU from Joliet?

From Joliet, take I-55 North to Route 59 North, or take Route 59 directly. My Shorewood studio is about 18 minutes from downtown Joliet with easy highway access.

Is there parking at your studio?

Yes! I have a dedicated parking lot with plenty of free parking right outside the studio. No street parking hassles or parking fees.

Do you offer evening appointments for Joliet clients?

I offer flexible scheduling including evening and weekend appointments to accommodate busy schedules.

Can I add shading to microblading later, or switch back to hair strokes only?

Adding goes one way and only one way. Starting with hair strokes and adding a light pass of machine shading later is straightforward, and I do it at touch-ups for clients who decide they want more density than strokes alone give them. Going the other direction does not work. Once shading is in a brow, that brow is saturated, and hair strokes have nothing clean to sit in, so every touch-up and annual refresher after that point is shading as well. The same is true of machine work done by any other artist, which is why I ask what has already been done before I plan anything. That is not a reason to avoid combination brows — coarse brow hair that grows in patchy is exactly what they are for — it is a reason to decide it with your eyes open.

Joliet appreciates craftsmanship. So will your brows.

Why Joliet Clients Choose Nirvana PMU

The Rialto Square Theatre—the “Jewel of Joliet”—has been a landmark since 1926. Built as a “Palace for the People,” its Art Deco design and Venetian decor have made it one of the most beautiful theaters in the nation. This year marks its 100th anniversary, alongside the centennial of Route 66.

Joliet residents understand historic craftsmanship and attention to detail. That same appreciation is what brings them to my studio for microblading. When you’ve walked past the Blues Brothers statues at the Route 66 Welcome Center or explored the Old Joliet Prison made famous in film, you know authentic quality when you see it.

When searching for “microblading near me,” Joliet clients want:

  • Hyper-realistic results – Hair strokes that look like they were born there
  • Expert technique – 10+ years and 3,500+ treatments
  • Private studio experience – No busy salon distractions
  • Convenient location – 18 minutes from downtown Joliet

From the Mother Road to Perfect Brows

Route 66—the Mother Road—put Joliet on the map for travelers heading west. The segment from Joliet to Wilmington was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006, and in 2026, the entire route celebrates 100 years of American history.

My approach to microblading honors that same tradition of craftsmanship and authenticity. Every set of brows gets:

  • Custom face mapping – Designed for YOUR unique bone structure
  • Personalized color matching – Pigments that complement your skin tone
  • Hand-drawn hair strokes – No shortcuts, no assumptions
  • Results that last – Beautiful brows for 12-18 months

The Joliet Client Experience

Unlike busy salons where you feel rushed, my private Shorewood studio means you get my complete attention. I explain each step of the microblading process, answer every question, and make sure you’re comfortable throughout.

For first-time clients, reviewing my pre and post-care instructions before your appointment makes a real difference in your results.

Will County’s Largest City Deserves Expert Brows

As Will County’s largest city, Joliet has plenty of salon options. But for microblading specifically — the focused expertise, the private studio environment, the personalized attention — that’s what sets Nirvana PMU’s Shorewood studio apart. 10+ years and 3,500+ treatments later, my clients’ results speak for themselves.

For the bigger picture — how I serve all 20 communities around Shorewood, including Joliet — my microblading guide for the Chicago suburbs walks through choosing a specialist over a salon, the full process, and what the investment really buys you. The day-by-day aftercare guide and microblading comparison chart are worth reading before you book.
